Local Climate Finance

CFCC exposes members to local climate financing tools, resources and practices through learning cohorts, technical assistance, webinars and other activities.

Climate Financing Capacity Building Cohort (CFCBC)

The CFCBC includes three member CFs: the Community Foundation of Greater Dubuque, the Community Foundation of Greater Flint, and the Community Foundation of Greater Muscatine. Community Sustainability Partners (CSP) is delivering a capacity building curriculum and evaluating project pipelines for loan readiness.

Direct Pay Working Group

The Working Group supports CFCC members’ utilization of elective pay (colloquially known as direct pay), a sunsetting mechanism established by the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) that allows tax-exempt entities to access transformational clean energy tax credits that had previously only been available to the private sector.
